Holiday Concerts 2025

Laguna Flutes closed out the year with two successful Christmas concerts. Our first was on December 9th prior to Pacific Symphony’s Holiday Organ Concert, in the lobby at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. We followed that concert on December 13th with our more formal ‘Tis the Season: A Collection of Christmas Favorites” on December 13th, 2025, at Fullerton First Presbyterian Church. It was a busy week!!

Our repertory this year included three arrangements by Ann Cameron Pearce: ‘O Come O Come Emmanuel’, ‘Away in a Manger’, and ‘We Wish you a Merry Christmas’. Our featured transcription this year was Francesco Manfredini’s ‘Christmas Concerto’, arranged by Nancy Nourse, featuring Pam Hodges Jones, Susan Hafner and Jay Tsui as our concertino soloists. We enjoyed the contemporary techniques required in Gareth McLearnon’s arrangement of “Jumpin’ Jingle Bells’, and we performed Russel Wilson’s arrangement of ‘Joy to the World’, written especially for Laguna Flutes and organ. Other works included ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’, (arr .Michael Turner), ‘Celtic Christmas Carols’ (arr. Linda Kirkpatrick) and ‘Sing we Now of Christmas’ (arr. Linda Kirkpatrick).

We look forward to 2026 with THREE new commissions! We are thrilled to bring new works forward….stay tuned!
