And that’s a Wrap for the 2024-2025 season

It’s been another fantastic year for Laguna Flutes! We performed a world premiere commission for our December concerts, Come Celebrate Christmas, which was our third commission overall. This work is a beautiful arrangement of three Christmas Carols: O Come, O Come Emmanuel, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and O Come All Ye Faithful by the esteemed composer Phyllis Avidan Louke. Our Sounds of the Season performance at Fullerton First Presbyterian Church (in combination with the Kirk Handbell Choir) was held on December 14th, and our second concert in the Lobby at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall took place on December 17th.

Our Spring Concert season included performing for the residents of Heritage Pointe on June 8th as we prepared for our next concert one week later at the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace on June 15th. Entitled Lyric Landscapes: Songs of Earth and Sky, we showcased music that reflects the beauty of nature in all its forms. Included were Fantasia on Red River Valley, Eventide Soliloquy, two movements from Brookgreen Suite, and selections from Misty Mountains and The Secret Language of Snow. We also performed A Bird’s Tale on a Saturday in its West Coast Premiere.
